Mediterranean Corridor (Road CVc), Construction of Tarčin - Konjic Motorway Section, Subsection Ivan - Ovčari: Feasibility Study, ESIA, Detailed Design

Project Description

The Ivan-Ovčari subsection, approximately 11 km long, has been one of the most technically challenging sections along Corridor Vc with almost 70% of the road alignment on structures (bridges and tunnels). Being part of the Tarčin-Konjic-Mostar North motorway, this sub-section has been designed before. However, due to a new technical solution/alignment of the adjacent road sections, it was found necessary to re-examine the technical documentation.

In these circumstances, technical assistance, provided through WBIF, aims to provide well-prepared documentation for Ivan-Ovčari (Preliminary Design, ESIA and Main/Detailed Design), as well as an updated Feasibility Study for the entire motorway section Tarčin-Konjic-Mostar North.

The implementation process is divided into two components.

  • Component 1 includes Preliminary design, Feasibility Study and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment; PIU support for ESIA public consultations and obtaining environmental permits; Drafting of the Procurement Plan, as well as the execution of all necessary field surveys and studies for the preparation of the Main/Detailed Design.
  • Component 2 continues with the preparation of the Main/Detailed Design and the finalisation of the Procurement Plan with the Tender Documents for the construction works.
