This investment project concerns the rehabilitation of water supply and sewage systems as well as waste management improvements in the villages of Shiroka and Zogaj on the western shore of Shkodra/Skadar Lake, part of Buna River – Shkodra/Skadar Lake National Park, a Ramsar transboundary conservation site.
The project is part of a larger integrated sustainable development initiative for the western shore of the Lake Shkodra aimed at the revitalisation of the local economy and valorisation of the natural and cultural heritage through restoration and enhancement of environmental assets.
The WBIF provides technical assistance for the preparation of the feasibility and environmental assessment studies for water and waste management investments.
