Description Description: Maintenance and rehabilitation of regional and local roads in the various parts of the country, covering about 1,000 km. These roads provide access to the main corridors and to the core network of main roadswhich will facilitate regional development and economic growth. The project is part of the Macedonian government?s Programme for Local and Regional Roads Objectives: The project will have a positive impact on the overall economic development of the FYR Macedonia and facilitate regional integration by providing effective access to the strategic road network. The project includes a programme of institutional strengthening of the FNRR and restructuring of Makedonijapat the public road maintenance company as well as providing support in the development of a proposed new Roads Law.
