The governing structures of the WBIF comprise:
The Steering Committee (SC)
The Steering Committee takes all decisions related to the Joint Grant Facility including project approvals and provides strategic guidance for the WBIF. It is composed of representatives of the beneficiaries, the EC, partner IFIs and bilateral donors). It is co-chaired by the Commission (on a permanent basis) and one of the bilateral donors (on an annual rotating basis). The SC meets every six months. The Project Financiers' Group (PFG)
The Project Financiers’ Group (PFG) is responsible for screening and assessing requests for financial support from the Joint Grant Facility with the objective of establishing a pipeline of priority projects. The Group is composed of representatives of the Commission (DG Enlargement coordinates the participation of all relevant Commission services), IFIs and bilateral donors. It is co-chaired by the Commission (permanent) and the partner IFIs (on a rotating basis every 6 months).
In 2010 the PFG met on 4 occasions. The Meeting schedule for 2011 is: 24 March, 11 May, 6 October and 16 November.
